The CEC Lumberjacks boys soccer team fell to Duluth East 2-1 at Public Schools' Stadium, October 3, 2011. Duluth East got on the board at 19:32 of the first half on a goal by Jorgen Munson. Landon Straub evened the score for the 'Jacks at 33:32 of the half, running around the Greyhound defense to head a high bouncing ball past the East goalkeeper. Duluth East scored the eventual game winner, at 12:35 of the second half, when Billy Renier put a ball under the crossbar from 30-40 yards out. The 'Jacks had opportunities to score throughout the rest of a high paced second half but couldn't even the score.
