The Lumberjacks and Proctor Rails battled to a physical 1-1 tie in the 2011 soccer opener at Hilltop Park, August 25, 2011. Proctor's Aaron Opoien put his team up 1-0 7:35 into the second half, while Landon Straub scored the Lumberjack goal at 17:56. Both teams had overtime scoring changes, the best CEC chance from Derek Anderson who chipped the ball over the goalkeeper and net with 2 minutes left in the 2nd overtime.
