Eden Prairie's Karissa Olsen started the scoring 27 seconds in, and Callie Halverson answered that goal at 2:43. The Eagles again took the lead, at 3:59 on a goal by Bizzy Schmelzle, that was answered just 13 seconds later by a Kalie Shevich goal as she rushed the net and stuffed the puck past goaltender McKenzie Johnson to knot the game at 2. At 6:55 of the second, Halverson ripped a slapshot past Johnson, 10 seconds into a powerplay, to give the 'Jacks the lead 3-2. That lead held until 4:29 of the third period, as Schmelzle scored again, tying the game at 3.
