Kelly Carlson scored two goals while Caitlin Lilly scored one, and the 'Jacks built a 3-1 lead after 2 periods. Carlson crashed the net on rebounds for both of her goals, while Lilly tipped a perfect Carley Esse pass over Sydney Helmbrecht. Rapids first goal was scored by Hannah Schmoll on a breakaway after a pass from Molly Illikainen. Cloquet goaltender Alyssa Acheson aggrivated a previous injury on that goal, to be replaced by Katie Beckman, who played well in relief, stopping 22 of 25 shots. Molly Illikainen scored in the third to make it 3-2, and teamamte Apsen Anderson tied the game at 3 at the midway point of the third period. Illikainen scored the game winner, 2:14 into the secod overtime.
