The Cloquet girls hockey team fell to #2 ranked Benilde-St. Margarets 5-1 at Northwoods Credit Union Arena, December 1, 2012. The Lumberjacks got on the scoreboard first, just 3:12 into the first period when Kayla Baker (from Emily Gustafson and Makayla Langenbrunner) put home a shot from the slot, beating Red Knights' goaltender Abigail Miller. That would be the only 'Jacks tally, with BSM scoring 5 straight goals. Caitlin Reilly scored twice, and Kelly Pannek, recently named to the Team USA U-18 team, scored a goal and assists on two others for Benidle-St. Margaret's. Kaylee Druk scored a goal and assisted on another, and Anne Arnason scored the other Red Knights' goal. Alyssa Acheson stopped 42 of 47 shots she faced in the Lumberjacks loss.
