The Esko Eskomos defeated the Proctor Rails 28-26 to win the 7AAA section final at UMD, November 1, 2012. Marc Peterson threw three touchdown passes to Ryan Holte, and rushed for another on a quarterback sneak that proved to be the game winning touchdown, partially set up by an Earl Brinkley 4th down run that gained a 1st down on the drive. The two headed running machine of Brinkley's bruising running up the middle, and Riley Mudek's speed to the outside, combined with Peterson completing every pass (15 for 15) he threw carried the Esko offense. Without an extra-point/field goal game, Peterson had to complete a 2 point conversion to Brock Carlson after the game tying touchdown QB sneak to put the Eskomos ahead for good.
