The Moose Lake/Willow River Rebels defeated the Esko Eskomos 44-20 in Willow River, September 14, 2012. For the second week in a row, the Rebels ran back the opening kick for a touchdown, this week with Jake Disterhaupt going 93 yards for the score (Michael Pender vs Marshall the previous week.) Pender put the Rebels up two touchdowns with just over 2 minuets left in the first quarter with a 20 yard touchdown run to cap a drive after B.J. Young recovered an Esko fumble. Disterhaupt put the Rebels up 28-0 with a 60 yard run, and then a 35-0 65 yard run, bouncing off tacklers and escaping all the way to the other side of the field before turning down the sideline all alone. Esko finally got on the board to end the second quarter as Riley Mudek punched the ball in from 3 yards out.

Pender scored his second touchdown of the game to open the second half scoring, running for 38 yards . Esko's Mudek answered that score, as he punched in another short touchdown run, this time from four yards out. Peterson added a two point conversion, with a throw to Brock Carlson. The Rebels final score came with 9:25 left in the fourth quarter, as Ben Moonen kicked a 19 yard field goal for a 44-14 lead. The Eskomos added one more touchdown, as Brandt Hintsala ran for a 25 yard score with 6:08 left in the game.
