Both the Barnum Bombers (7A) and Moose Lake/Willow River Rebels took care of business, winning their respective section finals to head to the State Tournament. Barnum defeated East Central 20-7 with two rushing touchdowns by Josh Hogan, and one by Hector Chavez. The Rebels defeated the Braham Bombers 35-8, though only let 7-0 at halftime. Chris Gassert and Jake Disterhaupt ran for two touchdowns apiece, and the Rebel defense shut down a 4th quarter passing surge by the Braham offense after it scored and recovered an onside kick with the score 28-8.
