The Thunder lost 103-99 in overtime to Rainy River CC January 26, 2011. The game was even the entire night, with Rainy River up 44-43 at halftime, and the Thunder winning the second half by a point, 47-46 to send the game to overtime. Rainy River shot 1 of 6 in the overtime, but attempted 12 freethrows, making 11 of them. The Thunder shot 3 of 10 with only 3 freethrows in 4 tries. The 11 points off free throws gave Rainy 2 more points than FDLTCC without accounting for their one made basket in the OT. Alton Dixon and Justin Roberts (who played all 45 minutes of the game) each had double-double's for the Thunder, with Dixon's on 23 points 11 rebounds, and Roberts 25 points and 13 assists. Kolten Karpinnen shot 5/9 from 3 point land, scoring 17 points in the game. Tyler Campbell scored 16, and Greg Gillespie 10 pts, to complete the list of 5 Thunder players in double figures scoring. Rainy River had 5 players in double figures also, with Derek Scully with 25, DJ Fisher with 22, Sheldon Esdelle-Blackburn with 20, Brandon Bradley with 12, and Andre McWay with 10 points. Scully had 9 rebounds and 9 assists, just barely missing a triple double while playing all 45 minutes himself.
