Six UMD Bulldog players scored touchdowns in a 45-14 drubbing of Minnesota-State University Moorhead, at Malosky Stadium, October 6, 2012. Zach Zweifel caught a 28 yard pass from Chase Vogler and Logan Lauters scored on a 36 yard rushing touchdown in the first quarter. Moorhead got on the board early in the second quarter, when quarterback Jake Hodge hooked up with Adam Jiskra for 59 yard touchdown. A Brian Lucas 4 yard touchdown run with 6:23 left in the second quarter made the score 21-7. Moorhead's Brandon Schell made the score 21-14 with a 20 yard run with 3:09 left in the first half. The Bulldogs regained their 2 touchdown lead, when Jeron Johnson scored a 3 yard run though a big hole created by the offensive line. Chaz Thomas scored the only points in the third quarter, putting UMD ahead 35-14 with an 18 yard touchdown run. Andrew Brees connected on a 36 yard field goal, and Steve Ierulli scored on a 4 yard touchdown run in the fourth quarter to give UMD it's final 45-14 score.
