The UMD Bulldogs softball team split with 13th ranked Minnesota-State Mankato at the old Duluth East HS, March 24, 2012. In the second game the Dogs needed extra innings, and a 9th inning comeback to win, after giving up 2 in the top of the 9th the 'Dogs put up 3 runs to win. The Dogs fell 6-0 in the second game, giving up 2 runs in the first inning, 1 in the 4th, and 3 in the seventh inning.
