Junior outside hitter Kate Lange, from Hibbing, notched her 1000th kill in a 3 games to 0 win over University of Minnesota-Crookston at Romano Gymnasium, September 8, 2012. Match scores were 25-17, 25-12, and 25-18 for the UMD sweep in the final match of the UMD Classic volleyball tournament, where the undefeated Bulldogs defeated Erskine, Shippensburg, Ferris State, and Minnesota-Crookston all without losing a game. As of September 9, the Bulldog volleyball team has lost just 3 games total, 2 of which came in their opening match 3 games to 2 win Vs. McKendree University in a tournament in Kirksville, Missouri.
