The UMD women's hockey team shut out Bemidji State University 3-0, at Amsoil Arena, January 18, 2013. Brienna Gillanders (from Aleksandra Vafina and Brigette Lacquette) put UMD up 1-0 at 5:01 of the first period. Jamie Kenyon's 9th goal of the season, from Kayla Black's second assist in as many weekends, gave UMD a 2-0 lead at 4:52 of the second. Pernilla Winberg (Zoe Hickel, Katie Wilson) put UMD up 3-0 at 14:01 of the 2nd period. Katie Wilson's assist on the Winberg goal counted as her 100th career point for the senior. Kayla Black stopped all 17 shots she faced in the game, and Bemidji State goaltender Abby Ryplanski stopped 21 of 24 UMD shots, taking the loss.
