Spring Sports Come to a Close

Happy Summer!

The past 2 weeks, I’ve covered the Minnesota State Softball Tournament in Mankato, and then the State Track Meet at St. Michael / Albertville High School. The Esko and Moose Lake / Willow River girls softball teams both made the trip to Caswell Park to compete against the best in Minnesota


Moose Lake / Willow River coach Kelly Goeb sends senior Sandra Ribich to the plate to score a run in the consolation semifinal game at Caswell Park.
Esko’s Clara Swanson dives to the plate to score a run against Randolph, while coach Jeff ‘Huff’ Emanuel looks on
Cloquet’s Makenzie Lynch finished third in the 300-hurdles final at the State track meet on Thursday.
Two Harbors’ Trinity Giddings won the 400-meter race at State on Wednesday.. followed by Ely’s Violet Udovich, for a Section 7A sweep at State.
